Open research for a more secure freight supply chain

We study how cargo is lost, stolen, or tampered with, and build tested tools to help the industry prevent it.

What we do

As cargo theft evolves and becomes increasingly aggressive, we need more innovative solutions to protect our assets, minimize losses, and create a safer logistics environment

The Load Integrity Research Group is dedicated to strengthening freight security through rigorous research and practical tools. Our work rests on three priorities: Research, Build, and Share. Our mission is to help the supply chain detect and prevent cargo loss, fraud, and tampering, using methods that are tested, measured, and ready to use in the field.

Research

We study how freight loss and fraud happen across the supply chain, and test detection methods under real-world conditions.

Open Tools

We publish models, code, and benchmarks free of charge, so any organization can use them, not only large networks.

Standards

We write practical specifications for verifying carriers, loads, and custody that operations teams can put to use.

Our Collaborators

The Load Integrity Research Group is a professional association of practitioners and researchers across logistics, technology, and public safety — along with our in-house team of research scientists.
